Terms & Conditions
Please read these Terms carefully as they contain important information about your legal rights, remedies and obligations for the Virtual Escape Room Tournament (“Tournament”) by AveLIVE. By participating in the Tournament, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms, along with the Terms of Service for AveLIVE.
When these Terms mention “Avenevv,” “we,” “us,” or “our,” it refers to the Avenevv Pte. Ltd. and our related entities, affiliates and subsidiaries. “You” refer to you as the user of AveLIVE and/or participant of the Tournament.
1. Tournament Format
The Tournament involves participants forming teams of at least 2 and a maximum of 6 players, and competing against other teams in the Tournament for the prizes in clause 5 below.
2. Tournament Date and Time
We will offer multiple sessions over the two days of 21 August 2021 and 22 August 2021, but we reserve the right to adjust or cancel any of the offered slots if less than 4 teams sign up for that slot. Participants who have signed for a slot which was cancelled with be offered the option to participate in any other available slot.
3. Tournament Fee
The fee to participate in the Tournament is as stated on the event ticketing site of the respective Tournament.
Payment of the Tournament fee is to be made at the point of registration of the Tournament.
4. Tournament Registration
To participate in the Tournament, one player will have to sign up on EventBrite on behalf of the team, providing all of the below information and making payment:
a) Name of all team members;
b) Email addresses of all team members;
c) Preferred timeslot;
d) Preferred team name;
e) Ticket choice; and
f) Name of primary person for contact.
By providing the details of your team members, you acknowledge that you have their consent to do so. Your registration is not confirmed until payment has been made and you receive a payment confirmation from EventBrite or us indicating that your payment was successful.
5. Tournament Prizes
Tournament prizes shall depend on the number of number of teams in the Tournament. We reserve the right to amend this section from time to time to include more prizes once certain attendance numbers are reached. Tournament prizes are not applicable for any participation in a Non-Tournament Room, or participation in a Tournament Room outside your slot in clause 2. The prizes are as follows:
a) Team that has a highest points in the entire Tournament: The team which has completed the virtual escape room with the highest points within the time limit will receive a cash prize of S$150, a 10% discount code applicable for the next tournament entry and a free session to the Game Maniac Puzzle Hunts from our sponsor, Monster Day Tours.
b) Top 5 teams with the highest points in the entire Tournament: The top 5 teams which have completed the virtual escape room with the highest points within the time limit will receive a 10% discount code applicable for the next tournament entry and a free session to the Game Maniac Puzzle Hunts from our sponsor, Monster Day Tours. Only teams with at least 1 member located in Singapore are eligible to claim this prize.
c) Top 10 teams with the highest points in the entire Tournament: The top 10 teams which have completed the virtual escape room with the highest points within the time limit will receive a 10% discount code applicable for the next tournament entry.
The cash prizes will be credited into the nominated bank account details of the respective winners, and the discount codes will be sent to the email addresses used by the respective winners to sign. Award of the prizes will be done within 7 business days from the date we announce the prize winners under clause 6 below.
The discount code for the next tournament entry is only valid if at least one member of the winning team registers for that tournament, and is not transferable to a new group consisting of entirely different members.
The redemption of the free Game Maniac Puzzle Hunts from Monster Day Tours will be up to their available time slots. We will email the winning teams regarding the steps to redeem this prize.
6. Determination and Announcement of Prize winners
Due to the multiple time slots offered in clause 2 above, we will only be able to determine and announce the winners of the respective prizes after the end of the Tournament, and shall make an official announcement to all participants within 48 hours from the last offered Tournament slot. Our determination of the winners as reflected in our official announcement shall be final.
7. Changes to Tournament slot or Participants
If you are unable to join your selected session but are available for other sessions, please email us at avelivex@avenevv.com and inform us of the new session that you would like to attend. Please inform us at least 24 hours before your initially booked session begins as we may not be able to accommodate any last minute changes.
If you are unable to participate in the Tournament at all, but the rest of your group are able to, please email to inform us at avelivex@avenevv.com. If your initial group has exactly 2 people, your group needs to provide us with a replacement at least 24 hours before the session to ensure that they are able to continue. If your initial group has more than 2 people, your group does not need to provide a replacement so long as your group size after any withdrawal meet the minimum group size of 2 persons. However, please email to inform us in all cases so that we could update the system accordingly. You will not be able to get a refund for any withdrawals or cancellations.
This clause is subject to the general Terms of Service of AveLIVE governing changes to booking, except that the administrative fee for changes to booking shall be waived for all changes made at least 72 hours before the session. Changes made within 72 hours before the session shall be subject to the administrative fee. For any withdrawal from the Tournament, be it partial or complete team withdrawal, there shall be no refund of the Tournament fee.
8. Privacy Policy
It is our policy to respect your privacy and comply with all applicable laws regarding the use, storage and handling of any personal information we may collect while operating our website. If you have any questions about deleting or correcting your personal data, please contact privacy@avenevv.com.
9. Other Terms
These Terms are subject to and are in addition to the general Terms of Service of AveLIVE. In the event of conflict between these Terms and the general Terms of Service of AveLIVE, these Terms shall prevail.

The organisers ask all participants to:

play a fair game;

respect the physical and emotional well-being and the dignity of teammates, competitors and organisers;

practice good sportsmanship with your competitors; and

do not to exploit the rules.
Players who break or exploit the rules at any stage of the tournament might be disqualified at the discretion of the organisers.
Such exploitation includes but is not limited to: hacking the game or the system to your advantage, receiving or providing information to other teams.
AveLIVEX is dedicated to providing a harassment-free experience for everyone, regardless of gender, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, or religion. We do not tolerate harassment of the event participants in any form. Sexual language and imagery is not appropriate for any event platform, including virtual spaces. Participants violating these rules may be sanctioned or expelled from the competition at the discretion of the organisers.
Harassment includes offensive verbal comments related to gender, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, religion, sexual images in public spaces, deliberate intimidation, stalking, following, harassing photography or recording, sustained disruption of talks or other events, inappropriate physical contact, and unwelcome sexual attention. Participants asked to stop any harassing behaviour are expected to comply immediately.
If a participant engages in harassing behaviour, the organisers may take any action they deem appropriate, including warning the offender or expulsion from the event. If you are being harassed, notice that someone else is being harassed, or have any other concerns, please contact the organisers immediately.
